Kayla
Veterinary Assistant
Kayla grew up in Northfield with her family, which consists of one older and one younger brother. She has always had a love of animals and currently has two dogs, Palmer and Mavi and two guinea pigs, Chicken and Waffles. Kayla just graduated from Heidelberg college in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
Through a friend, Kayla was introduced to St. Francis Animal Hospital and she started working there in 2021. She is one of the original staff members in our blended family. Kayla loves being a veterinary assistant and works hard at being a patient advocate and ensuring our pets needs are met. Her happy personality adds to the positive environment we strive to have at Small Miracles Animal Hospital.
Kayla’s goal is to become a veterinarian and currently has applications into surrounding veterinary colleges. She loves the mentoring she is receiving from both the doctors and staff. She is also looking forward to becoming Fear Free certified and honing her technical and medical knowledge for her future endeavors. You will likely find Kayla taking pictures of our patients for their records, as that is one of her favorite hobbies.
In her spare time, Kayla loves taking pictures of pets and making stickers, hiking when it’s warm, and spending time with her family and pets.
