Our Services

At Small Miracles Animal Hospital, we offer comprehensive services for the care of your pet.

Here are some of the services we offer:

Digital Radiology

We offer state of the art digital radiology that allows for any type of x-ray procedures needed. We often marry the technique with light sedation to allow for the appropriate positioning and to minimize stress and discomfort to the patient.  We also use VetRad radiologists to review the films. Your digital radiographs can be sent to referral hospitals with a press of the button.

Phovia Fluorescent Light Therapy

“Phovia is a two-part Fluorescent Light Therapy system that helps heal breaks in the skin barrier for dogs and cats”.  We use it as an adjunct for most post-surgical incisional healing.

We also use it for pyoderma, perianal fistulas, and other issues with the skin.  The Phovia treatment helps accelerate natural skin regeneration for most lesions so dogs and cats can recover in up to half the time.

Soft Tissue Surgery

We offer spays, neuters, cystotomies, digital amputations, mass removals, foreign body removals, alar fold reconstructions, ocular surgeries and a patient-by-patient evaluation of other necessary surgical procedures on a variety of species.

During many of these surgeries, we use our Co2 Laser which cauterizes nerve endings and minimizes pain.  Generally,  our surgical patients have an iv catheter placed, iv fluid therapy, intubation and inhalant anesthesia, 1-2 veterinary technicians monitoring  the patient along with the following devices -spo2, ecg, co2, blood pressure and doppler which is recorded every 5 minutes.

Dental Prophylaxis

Dental cleaning, radiology and oral evaluation are a necessary part of your pet’s health.  We have digital dental radiology and full mouth x-rays are a part of the dental procedure.

We will always call you before any oral surgery is required (ie: tooth extraction) so you are involved every step of the way.

Solensia Injections

Our feline patients are never overlooked, and we are proud to offer this cutting-edge therapy.  It is a monoclonal antibody that blocks part of the inflammatory cascade.

As a once-a-month injection, it helps reduce the symptoms of arthritis in cats.  What is really nice, is that we can use it without concern of it interfering with the kidneys.

Euthanasia

Our last gift we give is to prevent suffering, and release beautiful spirits from broken bodies. We have a special room dedicated to saying “we will see you again” to our beloved furry babies.

We offer Faithful Companion Services and have caskets that can be decorated, if you so choose.

Care for all Life Stages

One of the best things about being a veterinarian is the bond we form with not only our patients, but our families that come with them.  We love that we offer care from neonates to seniors and everything in between.

We pride ourselves in attention to detail and love complicated problems, that require investigation.  Don’t hesitate to call if you have specific needs. We look forward to watching your furry family member grow up and getting to know you!

Behavioral Concerns

We are not behavioralists, but with our knowledge of animal behavior, Fear Free and Cat Friendly practices, we offer PVPs (pre-visit pharmaceuticals) to help reduce fear, anxiety and stress in your pet.  We can assess, advise and offer information on a number of behavioral issues, but often it is up to you to seek additional behavioral advice through a trained professional.

We can definitely help with referrals as most often, we need to desensitize and retrain the mind and this is done over time.  Keep in mind, sometimes it can take a few attempts to examine your animal in order to achieve the right combination of drugs to minimize adverse experiences.  We are happy to treat your pet medically with a specific protocol for his/her needs and certainly refer you to the appropriate behavioral people.
