Surgery
St. Francis Animal Hospital is well-equipped and the doctors are well-trained to perform elective surgeries such as spays and neuters as well as other general, orthopedic and ophthalmic surgeries.
Our doctors have a special interest in surgery and seek every opportunity to learn improved techniques and to refine their surgical skills.
The result is minimized tissue trauma, shorter surgery time and faster recovery for our patients.
Patients are thoroughly assessed to minimize risk and safe, proven anesthetic protocols are employed. Sedated and recovering animals are carefully monitored.
We provide nuanced pain management to our patients before, during and after surgery. In addition, much attention is given to the comfort care of patients after recovery as well.
If your pet has surgery, you will be welcome to visit your pet in a dedicated visitor’s room after it has recovered.
We will communicate with you about the things you need to know before, during, and after your pet’s surgery. It is our goal to make the entire process go smoothly and to eliminate the stress and worry of surgical procedures. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us.
